I’m always amazed at all the new details I pick up that I missed the past two reads. This time was Andrei and Maria standing over the baby as he recovers and all three are enclosed in the muslin that gets slightly caught in Andrei’s hair as he moves and how he feels separated from the world in that translucent enclosure. Beautiful.
