So much of what is good in life revolves around the Rostov household. Everyone is more alive when they are in that house, more happy, too. I’ve spent more time this reading paying attention to Nicholas and Boris and the subtly of their characters. And while neither is the strongest character in the book, they are some of the most real in how typical they are of most people. They are heroic in their regularness.
