Merlin then reveals it was the brothers. Arthur is still pities he had been wroth with Balyn.

Merlin explains how Balyn is actually an important ally. The first lady, Lady Lyle with the sword and scabbard, killed her own brother and is a false damesell. Live by the sword, die by the sword. By the way, Merlin’s name is Myrddin which sounds like the word “shit” which is why it’s changed.

Lady of the Lake wants to cash in on the favor she originally said she would ask Arthur for. She wants Balyn’s head. Arthur refuses since it’s not an honorable request. Behind the scenes is a war between women because Lady of the Lake had killed Balyn’s mother. So he chops off her head instead. Not exactly good party form here.

Lady Lyle tells Balyn that sword will be his destruction (cursed sword). Arthur apologizes to Balyn for treating him poorly and invites him into fellowship with Arthur. Balyn is grateful, but wants to take his leave of Arthur. Arthur is not happy about it, but lets him go anyway hoping they can make up later. Lady of the Lake shows up.
